On March 12, Medora’s Book Club explores Mercy Street, the compelling story of individual choices and the complexities of American identity.

Earning the prestigious 2023 Mark Twain Prize for its authentic voice and social resonance, Mercy Street follows the story of Claudia, a woman who has counseled patients at Mercy Street Clinic in the heart of the city for over a decade. For her, the work is consuming and the dramatic stories of women in crisis is unending. For its patients, Mercy Street offers more than health care; for many, it is a second chance.

Mercy Street is a groundbreaking story of the polarized American present that fearlessly examines of one of the most divisive issues of our time.

Admission is $50 and includes an autographed copy of the book.
